## Job Description Summary

Responsible for developing and maintaining operational materials for multiple Credit Union functions taking the audience into consideration. Collaborates with subject matter experts to ensure that complex and technical information is condensed and articulated in an accurate and concise manner. Monitors requests for updates and articles and completes necessary work in a timely manner to meet business needs.

## Essential Duties and Responsibilities

– Writes and publishes accurate, engaging and user friendly documentation that aids in learning complex concepts and processes. Analyzes documents to maintain continuity of style. Considers and revises for appropriate audience and intent.
– Collaborates and consults with product/business owners and trainers to develop, update, maintain and publish operational materials and articles to support the business functions of multiple Credit Union areas, including, but not limited to; manuals, procedures and user guides.
– Monitors, works, and/or proofreads assigned requests submitted to the Internal Communications team. Considers deadlines and ensures timely delivery of completed requests to meet business objectives.
– Maintains records and reports of procedure changes. Ensures all changes are communicated in a timely manner.
– Participates in evaluating work processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvements.
– Stays abreast of Credit Union products and services and maintains a comprehensive library of technical terminology.
– Assists with evaluating communications and engagement activities. Recommends opportunities for improvements to effectively reach employees and manage the volume of information they receive.
– Stays abreast of emerging trends in communications and makes recommendations for process improvements.

## EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Education Requirements

High School or GED – Required

Experience Requirement

2 Years – Proven work experience in technical writing – Required

Prior financial institution experience – Preferred

## Skills/Abilities

– Strong written and verbal communications and experience working with content in multiple formats.
– Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work on multiple responsibilities and assignments in a fast paced, changing work environment.
– Strong collaboration and communication skills; Promote and foster excellent member service and teamwork.
– Ability to take complex processes and steps and make them user and reader friendly.
– Use correct English including spelling, grammar and punctuation.
– Understand how to write, edit and proofread or appropriate audiences.
– Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office suites, including but not limited to Acrobat, Publisher, Word, Excel
– Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality.
– Lead and model RISE values and the Code of Ethics through daily interactions and conduct.
– Understand and follow written and oral instructions.
– Set priorities and manage ones own time effectively.
