JOB SUMMARY

EPB’s Digital Content Creator is responsible for the quality, tone, storytelling and accuracy of EPB’s messaging in relevant digital marketing channels such as the company website, social media, display advertising and email campaigns. The role requires a creative thinker with excellent writing skills, a keen eye for design and the ability to leverage various digital platforms to amplify our brand message. This position may also be asked to take a supportive role in developing high-quality, strategic concepts and content for all deliverables, including but not limited to advertising collateral, videos, intranet updates, company newsletters, and presentations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

-Develop high-quality, engaging and original content for various digital platforms, including social media, website, blogs and email campaigns.

-Write clear, compelling and SEO-optimized copy for a variety of digital platforms that maintains a consistent brand voice and is consistent with the EPB branding strategy and its corporate mission.

-Produce digital content in a variety of content types, including graphics and video.

-Be well-equipped to adapt to new trends and technologies, ensuring our content strategy remains current and effective.

-Collaborate with creative, product and management teams to create and execute digital marketing campaigns.

-Monitor and respond to social media as needed.

-Stay up to date on industry trends, tools and technology and apply them to job responsibilities.

-Ensure content is engaging and accurate.

-Monitor and analyze content performance using available tools, like Google Analytics and social media insights.

-Actively participate in and contribute to creative brainstorming and strategy sessions with passion and ideas.

-Work collaboratively with other marketing department members, including graphic artists, video production, and project management.

-Proactively interact and communicate with members of other departments as a part of a work team or in an investigative role.

-Proactively research and understand our target audiences, industry trends and competitive landscape to inform creative development.

-Monitor and meet deadlines as assigned.

-Understand and adhere to brand guidelines.

-Present concepts and projects to internal clients as needed.

-Work on various projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and requiring minimal supervision.

-Proofread and edit all copy for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and style, ensuring it is error-free and adheres to brand guidelines.

-Works effectively with marketing managers, graphic designers, Web developers, project managers, and expert reviewers to produce accurate and persuasive content.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

-Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Marketing, or a related field.

-3-5 years of proven experience as a digital content creator or similar role.

-Strong understanding of SEO principles and keyword research.

-Familiarity with digital marketing tools.

-Strong retail-oriented B2C experience is a plus.

-Knowledge of the Utility industry is a plus but not required.

-Demonstrated success in social media engagement.

-Proficiency in content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut or similar.

-A portfolio showcasing results-based writing samples is required.

CERTIFICATIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

-Possess a valid drivers license and demonstrate the safe and responsible operation of motor vehicles. Must operate motor vehicles during normal working hours to perform various assigned tasks.

-Certifications in digital marketing or SEO (e.g. Google Analytics) are a plus but not required.

-Ability to work on various projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and requiring minimal supervision.

-Ability to multitask.

-Ability to work independently or as an active team participant.

-A creative rock star with email, landing pages, and banner ad experience; passionate about creativity that converts.

-Confidence in presenting work and comfortable interacting with internal clients.

-Independent thinker who can own an assignment and write with little direction.

-Have an eye for detail with the ability to proofread.

-Excellent time management and organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. Must be able to juggle multiple simultaneous projects and meet deadlines without compromising quality.

-A good understanding of marketing principles and advertising strategy.

-Ability to proactively plan and structure communication strategies to achieve a measurable goal, find and analyze reference and research materials, and deliver focused, compelling, dynamic written content.
