The Nutrition Manager is responsible for designing, directing, monitoring, and ensuring an effective food service program is implemented for the Head Start program.
• Bachelors degree in nutrition, Food Service Management, public health administration with 18 hours of course work in nutrition required. Education certification must be from an accredited college or university.
• Must be licensed and have ServSafe certification, both of which must remain current throughout employment.
• Minimum three years of experience in nutrition or food service management and knowledgeable of commercial food and menu preparation, food storage techniques, USDA/CACFP program requirements, and effective organization of all kitchen activities.
