This is a job for a Ship/Rec Clk IV (Lead) with a company located in the Southaven, MS area.
Job Summary: As a Lead, you will oversee and mentor employees in various Logistics Center functions, including receiving, shipping, inventory control, and Logistics Work Order slotting. You will be a liaison for the Manager, providing administrative and technical support, using various tools to troubleshoot issues and identify root causes, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities: Delegate work and tasks to various teams and/or departments, such as receiving, put-away, picking, packing, slotting, etc. within the Logistics Center. Adjust to workflow needs by rotating self, employees and/or assigned workers from function to function. Provide technical support to employees and communicates across all levels within the Logistics Center. Act as an extension of the manager and provide performance feedback to management on employees. Respond to questions and provide solutions, are known as the “knowledge base” of information. Proficiently utilize a Warehouse Management System for workflow. Act as a SME; train/mentor employees. Operate material handling equipment with prior training provided. Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Sigma, Kaizen events, ISO). Maintain and promote a safe and clean working environment. Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bi-lingual in Spanish is a must. Shipping, receiving and/or inventory control, integration work order flow, etc. Internal candidates: Minimum of two (2) years high volume Logistics and/or Logistics Center warehouse experience warehouse experience. Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Logistics functions such as SAP-WMS, SOPs. External candidates: minimum of five (5) years high volume Logistics Center warehouse experience outlined above. Lead experience preferred. Will adjust readily to change and adapt as needed, working independently with minimum supervision. Adept at building solid, effective working relationships with others. Ability to clearly communicate and convey necessary information and interact effectively with all levels of management. Works well under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines. Exhibits the ability to be sensitive to the needs, concerns, and feelings of others, possessing strong multi-cultural interpersonal skills. Maintains and promotes social, ethical, and organizational standards in conducting internal and external business activities. Will recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency. Proficient using common office equipment and able to transport up to 50 lbs. Will use relevant computer system applications at an intermediate level, while possessing basic clerical and data entry skills, quickly learning new systems and technology. Performs basic mathematical calculations. Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion. Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Preferred: Associate degree. Required: High School Diploma/G.E.D.
