Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer will play a critical role in the successful introduction of new products into manufacturing processes. This position requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, project management, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding in product development, process engineering, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities include

• Drive alignment of New Product Introduction strategy with internal stakeholders and the external supplier base.

• Project manage new parts, maintain and follow-up on action plan(s).

• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.

• Create and maintain detailed project plans and timelines.

• Part processing documentation in ERP/MRP system (BOM’S and routers)

• Monitor and report on project progress and performance.

• Identify and resolve production issues and bottlenecks.

• Develop and adjust 3D models along with creating proper detailed drawings for production.

• Design, manufacture and implement production and test fixtures.

• Develop manufacturing process standards for special processing, coatings and other requirements for product components

• Contribute to the team by providing innovative ideas/ concepts.

• Contribute to new production introductions and project launches.

Must Have

Experience programming CNC Mills/Lathes (up to 4-axis)

Previous NPI experience (new product introduction)

Previous experience managing projects from start to finish

Solidworks and MASTER CAM

Bachelors degree (if no degree, must have applicable experience)

Previous hands-on experience with machining components (Bridgeport, Lathe, CNC etc.)

Experience in interpreting prints by operation and final inspection.

Experience Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

Nice to Have

Experience programming 5-axis

Knowledge of materials knowledge

ERP knowledge
