Sourcing Specialist
Medical Mutual of Ohio
The Sourcing Specialist is a hybrid position that allows you the flexibility to onsite 3 days a week and work at home 2 days a week as long as you reside within a 50-mile radius of the Brooklyn, OH Medical Mutual office.

Responsibilities
Sourcing Specialist II
Identifies savings and process improvement opportunities; supports collaborative relationships internally and externally; helps to facilitate sourcing events and negotiating with suppliers.
· Conducts market analyses and benchmarking to refine opportunities. Understands regional and local supply markets, including major suppliers and their capabilities.
· Helps to facilitate sourcing events (RFQ, RFI, RFP, or direct negotiation), supplier selection, and price/contract negotiation.
· Provides support to other sourcing professionals within the Procurement Department.
· Provides sourcing support by working with business partners to clarify specifications, service levels, and quantity for new and existing purchases.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Sourcing Specialist III
Identifies savings and process improvement opportunities; establishes collaborative relationships internally and externally; develops sourcing strategies; leads sourcing events; negotiates with suppliers; collaborates with business units to aid in internal approval process.
· Manages sourcing events (RFQ, RFI, RFP, or direct negotiation), supplier selection, and price/contract negotiation.
· Manages Business Unit relationships to ensure collaboration with initiatives impacting spend management and improve strategic sourcing methods with Business Units. Interacts with the business leadership to ensure effective spend management occurs at all levels of the organization.
· Conducts market analyses and benchmarking to refine opportunities. Understands regional and local supply markets, including major suppliers and their capabilities. Identifies short- and long-term improvement projects.
· Facilitates the development/articulation of sourcing strategies, business requirements, and service levels. Recommends methods of supplier communications, problem resolution, and planning.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Sr. Sourcing Specialist
Provides expertise to the Procurement Department in the sourcing process to improve processes, build strong relationships with internal customers and external suppliers, and provide the best value in sourcing contracts.
· Leads sourcing events (RFQ, RFI, RFP, or direct negotiation) with departments, supplier selection, price/contract negotiation, and defining acceptable service levels.
· Manage and maintain exceptional relationships with internal customers and external suppliers. Analyze initiatives that impact spend management and improve strategic sourcing methods. Interacts with leadership to ensure effective spend management occurs at all levels of the organization.
· Creates strategies from market analyses and benchmarking to enhance sourcing opportunities. Enhances understanding of regional and local supply markets, including major suppliers and their capabilities.
· Lead the development and implementation of special projects to enhance the performance of the department.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Lead Sourcing Specialist
Assists Director of Procurement in the strategic sourcing initiatives to improve processes, build strong relationships with internal customers and external suppliers, and provide the best value in sourcing contracts.
· Manages sourcing events (RFQ, RFI, RFP, or direct negotiation) with departments, supplier selection, price/contract negotiation, and defining acceptable service levels.
· Manages and creates strategies surrounding relationships with internal customers and external suppliers. Manage initiatives that impact spend management and improve strategic sourcing methods. Interacts with leadership to ensure effective spend management occurs at all levels of the organization.
· Actively leads the strategies from market analyses and benchmarking to enhance sourcing opportunities. Expert understanding of regional and local supply markets, including major suppliers and their capabilities.
· Manages special projects to enhance the performance of the department.
· Serves as a mentor to team members in the Procurement Department.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Sourcing Specialist II
Education and Experience:
· BS in Business Administration with Supply Chain focus (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· 2 years sourcing experience
· Demonstrated success in achieving quantifiable savings through application of strategic sourcing methods and principles.
· Proven track-record in leading cross-functional teams through sourcing strategy development and supplier negotiations.
Professional Certification(s):
· Certified Purchasing Manager (preferred)
Technical Skills and Knowledge:

Lead Sourcing Specialist
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with Supply Chain focus or related field.
· 7 years of experience as a Sourcing Specialist or equivalent experience.
Professional Certification(s):
· Certified Purchasing Manager (preferred).
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
· Experience with E-Sourcing – Oracle (iProcurement), Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
· Advanced knowledge of Strategic Sourcing Methodology (preferred – Services Industry), purchasing, financial modeling and qualitative analysis, market and supplier research and contract management.
· Advanced knowledge of project management.
