Overview
The Client Software Trainer is a training specialist who effectively explains the technical complexities of Client software. The trainer will plan, prepare, and research lessons for the trainees. They will explain the technical complexities of software effectively. The trainers audience may include people with a wide range of computer skills and educational levels. The audience may also vary in size from just a few people in a private setting to an entire roomful of people in a professional seminar. Trainers must be able to structure their presentations to fit the circumstances. Like any good teacher, the trainer must also be able to measure how well the students are absorbing the material and to adjust the presentation accordingly. They also review results and trainee feedback to improve materials and classes, as well as identify and develop additional software training opportunities.
Responsibilities
Works closely with Business Analyst to develop, plan and prepare training content.
Provides client training on software applications via individual or group basis.
Maintains records for training programs, including evaluations, and LMS records
Refines learning tools and techniques.
Maintain client engagement during training (i.e. using visual aids, able to recognize when a group or individual is lost and needs more attention).
Reviews the environment prior to training to ensure it is ready and properly configured.
Develop and implement comprehensive e-learning strategies that cater to various learning styles and objectives.
Participate in the creation of instructional materials (e.g., videos, quizzes, modules, simulations).
Incorporate interactive learning methods, including gamification, scenario-based learning, and problem-solving activities, to enhance learner engagement.
Qualifications
Prior training, teaching, or presentation experience.
Professional, welcoming, and friendly interpersonal communication that connects with a diverse range of clientele including remote customers, in-house management, and staff.
Excellent communication, listening, training and presentation skills in a dynamic environment.
A coachable attitude with an ability to learn quickly and master/teach new training concepts.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and/or other instructional design and development applications.
Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment; offer constructive feedback and direction to support goals.
Comfortable talking in front of a group as well as one-on-one with an individual.
Proven ability to engage client during training.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum 2 years experience in Training, instructional design, communications or related bachelors degree.
Willing to travel up to 60% as needed to client sites.
