Who We Need
We are seeking an experienced Agile Project Specialist to support and coordinate all aspects of agile project management. This role will focus on driving MVP planning, Epic/Story development, backlog management, and sprint tracking. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in utilizing Jira and Confluence to manage agile projects, including setting up Dashboards, Projects, Issues, Boards, Plans, and Reports to streamline team activities and enhance overall project visibility and productivity.
The Agile Project Specialist will play a crucial role in mentoring teams on best practices for Jira and Confluence implementation, ensuring backlog items are clearly defined and prioritized, and generating insightful status reports to keep stakeholders informed. You will collaborate closely with program leadership and cross-functional teams-such as Cybersecurity, Change Management, Quality Assurance, Data, and Cloud teams-to support the execution of project goals and ensure alignment across all workstreams.
Additionally, this position involves planning, coordinating, and facilitating retrospectives to foster continuous improvement and refining work instructions and user documentation to support team processes and project objectives.

Lead agile project activities including MVP planning, Epic/Story development, backlog prioritization, and sprint tracking.
Configure and optimize Jira and Confluence to enhance project management efforts, ensuring accurate Dashboards, Projects, Issues, Boards, and Reports are in place.
Mentor teams on Jira and Confluence best practices, fostering a culture of efficiency and continuous improvement.
Maintain and prioritize the project backlog, ensuring all work items are well-defined and actionable.
Generate monthly status reports to communicate project progress to program leadership and key stakeholders.
Liaise with cross-functional teams (e.g., Cybersecurity, Change Management, Quality Assurance, Data, and Cloud teams) to ensure stakeholder needs are integrated into project execution.
Plan and facilitate retrospectives, using insights to drive service delivery improvements.
Create and update work instructions and user documentation to support team members and project stakeholders.
Your Qualifications
Required
Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and project management methodologies.
Proven experience coordinating Jira functionality to reflect sprint progress and its impact on long-term project planning.
Proficiency in using Confluence for requirements management and linking requirements to development Stories.
Experience using Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, release tracking, and reporting.
Ability to obtain NACI clearance.
3 years of experience in agile project management or as an agile specialist in a technology environment.
Familiarity with issue and card management processes and systems (e.g., Jira).
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver presentations and status updates to diverse audiences.
