Position Summary

The Knowledge & Data Excellence Senior Business Systems Analyst works closely with product owners, subject matter experts, technology partners, and other stakeholders to drive digital adoption of product capabilities within the team’s scope. The BSA must utilize their business and technical acumen to continually improve product capabilities, user adoption, system administration, data integration, training, and support of the document management and knowledge products of the team.

The Senior Business Systems Analyst must be a functional product expert as well as technically proficient working with documents and data alike. They must understand the application front-end as a power user and know the back end as a developer. They will generate ideas, translate user requests to technical requirements, and enable efficient application administration. This includes functional application configuration, application administration, document and data storage, metadata management, extract/transform/load (ETL) operations, data integration, and new/emerging technologies for document and data consumption.

Key Responsibilities

Leads improvement recommendations and presents effectively to senior and executive management and global teams.

Presents and leads client meetings with the business and development teams. Communicates with senior leaders for understanding and execution of cross functional complex processes and applications to solve for client requirements.

Provides recommendations for appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.

Partners with business teams to develop ways to investigate business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.

Leads and serves as a senior resource on cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.

Serves as a resource to colleagues, mentors and helps improve the team’s abilities around all IT Service Management (ITSM) disciplines deployed.

Leads the development, execution, and creation of the cross functional testing strategy communicating with all stakeholders for technology delivery.

Leads the planning, conducting and documenting of user stories, user feedback. Effectively communicates feedback with senior leaders for technology improvement.

Education and Experience

Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, related field or equivalent experience required

5 years of relevant experience

Enterprise applications management experience required.

Experience delivering solutions and collaborating across different functions and locations required.

Preferred experience in engineering document management, content services platforms, intelligent document processing solutions, enterprise asset management solutions, or similar content service platforms. Examples include enterprise applications from OpenText, Laserfiche, Microsoft, SAP, Bentley Systems, Smart Plant, Bluebeam, etc.

Understanding of content management services and document applications including information governance, configurable documents & workflows, security, audit, automation, and business integrations preferred.

Experience with advanced content creation complex reporting, and artificial intelligence a plus.

Continuous Improvement Mindset – Identifies and leads opportunities for continuous improvement and value creation, both incremental and large-scale.

Incident Management – Ensuring that any incidents affecting processes and performances of relevant technology services or systems are managed appropriately to mitigate risk and minimize disruption.

Quality Assurance – The process to ensure organizational activities are designed to ensure that an organization is providing the best possible product or service to customers.

Requirements Management – The process of documenting, analyzing, tracing, prioritizing and agreeing on requirements and then controlling change while also communicating to relevant stakeholders.

Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) – A process used by the software industry to design, develop and test high-quality software.

Specification Development – Understanding the context, stakeholders and requirements or features of a product or application and detailing the specifications around them.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience.5 years of relevant experience
