Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. This role involves the assembly of large diesel and natural gas engines, utilizing a variety of hand and power tools, gauges and measuring devices, specialized torque equipment, electrical testing equipment, fork trucks, and lifting devices/cranes. The successful candidate will be manipulating engine components during the assembly process and learning the technical aspects of engine assembly, including troubleshooting and repair of in-process engines.

Responsibilities also include supporting the safety, quality, and production goals of the area, utilizing computer skills for various applications, and reading and interpreting standard work in computer programs, engineering prints, and factory paperwork.

Strong attention to detail as not all engines and transmissions are the same; they are customized based on the customers needs

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Lafayette, Indiana.

Work Environment

Our manufacturing environment is split between an assembly side and a machine shop, with temperature control throughout. We maintain a relaxed dress code and prioritize a clean facility. Safety is our highest priority, and PPE is non-negotiable, including steel or composite toe shoes, earplugs, and protective glasses, which are provided. The facility operates on three shifts: 1st Shift: 6:30AM-2:30PM, 2nd Shift: 2:30PM-10:30PM, and 3rd Shift: 10:30PM-6:30AM.
