Job Description

The Accounting Associate will perform administrative duties related to payables, receivables, as well as provide exceptional service to our customers. This position will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring a smooth and organized operation of accounting processes and procedures.

Responsibilities include analyzing departmental expenses on a month-to-month basis, utilizing accounting software for efficient financial management, and handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure accurate financial records. In conjunction with the Director of Finance, the Accounting Associate will manage and monitor AP and AR to maximize cash flow, ensuring timely entry of payables and payments.

The role also involves processing daily accounts payable transactions, ensuring compliance with departmental policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, implementing and monitoring internal controls to prevent errors and fraud, and carrying out audit activities to ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Additional duties include assisting with the budgeting process, recording routine journal entries and bank transactions, conducting month-end closing and reconciliation, responding to vendor and business partner inquiries promptly and professionally, resolving disputes or discrepancies, utilizing the ERP system to manage financial data and generate reports, and providing support to colleagues as needed.
