We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Agronomy Research Manager to join our
Agronomy Innovation team! As an Agronomy Innovation team, we aim to improve seed product
positioning and placement, discover agronomic learnings to equip our field teams with the data,
resources, and tools needed to be leaders in the industry, and thoroughly test emerging agronomic
technologies and products prior to customer deployment. The Agronomy Research Manager is an
independent contributing role that will be critical in leading the ideation, creation, and deployment
processes of on-farm trials in alignment with local and business needs. The role will also leverage
existing geospatial data from our digital agronomy tools to address key agronomic questions and
provide valuable insights to our field teams.
What Youll Do:
Lead the ideation, design, and implementation of on-farm trials to characterize Genotype x Environment x Management (GxExM) interactions and enhance product knowledge.
Collaborate with teams across the commercial and R&D business units, including Agronomy, Commercial Sales Units, Product Life Cycle, and Farming Solutions & Digital teams.
Utilize existing meta-data to develop insights and recommendations for improving agronomic practices and product placement.
Apply decision sciences and analytics to answer key agronomic questions and support datadriven decision making.
Draft technical reports and publications based on research findings to equip the field teams with relevant and timely information to support our customers.
Prepare and present research findings, reports, and recommendations to internal stakeholders and external customers.
Stay current with the latest advancements in agronomy and agriculture technology to continuously improve research methodologies and outcomes
Qualifications
What Youll Need:
Masters or Ph.D. in Agronomy, Plant Science, Agriculture Science, Weed Science, Soil Science, Entomology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in agronomy or plant science. Field experience is preferred.
Strong understanding of experimental design, statistical analysis, and data interpretation.
Working knowledge of statistical programming languages such as R or Python.
Experience using digital agronomy tools is preferred.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific findings to actionable recommendations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
Willingness to travel on occasion to support stakeholder engagements
