Job Description
Utilize JD Edwards and Greycon OptStudio software to schedule all 3 Paper Machines to ensure on-time order completion, optimize/minimize grade changes.
Creates and maintains firm, valid, short, and intermediate-range work center schedules and production plans. Provides due dates on incoming customer quotes based on capacity/production plan.
Work with Production and Sales teams to facilitate optimal machine performance while meeting and exceeding customer order expectations.
Utilizes Greycon X-Trim software to trim cutsheets for each of the 3 paper machines to maximize trim utilization.
Split small roll orders between paper machines and outsource plant, and plan necessary WIP for rewinding to complete small roll orders as necessary.
Oversee and coordinate completion of work orders released to Cutsheets for PM1, 6, 7, and outsourced converting. Inform machine crew when order remakes are necessary and provide necessary supporting Cutsheet documents.
Coordinate with transportation and customer service teams for timing of order completion and with technical and production teams for timing of trials.
Communicate special instructions with machine crews, as well as retrims as a result of new orders and/or order cancelations.
Works to manage and balance WIP inventories within on-site facility and outsourced converting facilities, in a manner to minimize total cost and maximize service. Identifies WIP inventories that can be rewound at outside converter to complete customer orders and/or fill necessary stock.
Analyzes daily internal and external scheduling obstacles and opportunities, and facilitates problem solving.
Manage daily supply chain function and relationship with outside converters.
Train outside facilities on JDE processes (machine reporting) and troubleshoot complications.
Set-up orders and coordinate WIP roll delivery to outside facility via ST management and planning.
Arrange shipment of supplies needed.
Skills and Qualifications Required
Bachelors or Associate in Supply Chain, Business Administrative
3 years of planning/scheduling
Work Site
This position will be fully onsite in Appleton, WI.
