JOB REQUIREMENTS: CAP Services, Inc. is a private non-profit corporation
serving central Wisconsin for over 50 years. Our mission is to transform
people and communities to advance social and economic justice. CAP
Services in Stevens Point, WI is looking for a part-time Shelter
Advocate to meet the immediate needs of callers on a 24-hour crisis and
information hotline and walk-in visitors presenting for a variety of
concerns including mental health, family dysfunction, domestic abuse and
sexual assault. The position also meets the needs of domestic violence
victims and their children as well as youth-in-crisis who are receiving
emergency shelter services at the Family Crisis Center. OTHER
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: BS/BA in psychology, social work, human
services or related degree & One year of relatable work or work
considered preparatory, leading to a working knowledge of crisis
intervention/youth/domestic violence/sexual assault services. OR
Associates Degree in related field and three years of the same work or
work considered preparatory, leading to a working knowledge of crisis
intervention/youth/domestic violence/sexual assault services. OR High
School Diploma (or equivalent) and five years of relatable work
experience as specified above. Must be able to report to work within
