Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to setup and operate a new LS 500 DMG turning center.

The ideal candidate will have experience with 3-axis and 5-axis Mill Machines and EDM machines (Nakamura, DMGs, Deckel Maho).

You will operate and set up machines utilizing Siemens and Fanuc controls, and use a variety of measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, optical scopes, and drop gauges.

You will also run multiple machines simultaneously, focusing on short-run prototypes and production machining with very tight tolerances.

Hard Skills

CNC Setup on Turning Lathes

Experience with Tight Tolerances as small as microns

Blueprint Reading

G&M Codes

Shop conversion math

Semiconductor and aerospace experience are a plus

Comfortability with multiple machines Will Cross Train

DMG Mori and Sodick experience is a plus

Experience with various metals/materials

Work Environment

It is an amazingly clean environment. The owner holds a PHD, and the shop has a strong R&D focus. The facility is large but only has 7 people within the machining department.
