Job Summary:
Promotes external sale of construction material products; establishes and
maintains customer relationships, and promotes the Company as a supplier of
choice within established and emerging markets.
Main Responsibilities:
Embrace the Companys safety culture, actively support all safety
initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the
Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams
Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and
mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other
established policies
Engage professionally with customers and other entities including but not
limited to private contractors, representatives of local and state
government, and engineering firms in-person, virtually, and over the
phone to develop and maintain relationships, and establish sales contracts
with new and existing accounts
Work closely with production operations to ensure existing customer needs
are met while establishing new customer relationships
Track and analyze business trends and make recommendations for growth of
customer base
Track and maintain customer information, sales data and other information
in internal systems
Present market and sales data to management and operations teams
Coordinate with Sales Manager, internal sales staff, and
operations/production staff to schedule customer deliveries
Coordinate with Quality Control to ensure product meets customer
specifications
Identify and assist with resolution of client concerns at the point of
material delivery
Performs other projects and duties as assigned
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Degree in business administration, supply chain, engineering, or
related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
preferred
Valid Drivers License and clean driving history required
Skills:
3 years of experience working in an account management, sales, or
related role
Prior experience working in construction, mining, manufacturing, or
related industry preferred
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work
independently with minimal direct supervision
Ability to problem-solve and resolve issues in an efficient and effective
manner
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships and represent the Company
in a professional manner
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate
effectively with a diverse range of individuals
Computer skills, including but not limited to MS Office applications
(Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), CRM software, databases, etc.
Business/financial acumen and understanding of basic accounting concepts,
and product pricing methods
Physical Requirements:
Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by
company safety guidelines
Regularly required to use hands to feel, handle and manipulate objects
Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear)
Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms,
and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Occasionally required to sit for long periods at a desk using a computer
Regular exposure working near to heavy equipment and machinery, exposure
to loud noise
Regular exposure to typical construction and manufacturing site
