Full-Time School-Based Occupational Therapist:
AnthroMed Education is dedicated to related service providers in schools who know how exciting and rewarding it is to help students in this setting.
Our organization is currently hiring a school-based occupational therapist in Plainfield, IL to support elementary, middle, and high school students. This role is full-time until the end of the school year which is May 29th, 2025.
Overview:
Support students by providing providing both direct and indirect therapy at an elementary school
Elementary, middle, and high school students on caseload. This OT likes assessing and treating a wide range of ages and diagnoses
Salary: starting at $58,000-75,000 paid annually based on experience.
Duties of the Occupational Therapist:
Develops, implements, and coordinates occupational therapy programs within the member school districts, including philosophy, vision, procedures, and goals.
Screens, evaluates, and monitors students with disabilities or cognitive impairments for the purpose of providing educational programs, therapeutic intervention, and transition planning to enhance abilities to perform activities of daily living or participate in desired occupations.
Collaborates with staff to ensure team understanding of student occupational performance strengths and needs.
Evaluates the students ability and formulates the students occupational profile, providing written reports that reflect strengths and barriers to student participation in the educational environment.
Participates in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Provides targeted, evidence-based therapeutic intervention to facilitate student participation and occupational performance within the school environment.
Documents occupational therapy services and maintains records in accordance with school district policies.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
Valid Illinois Department of Financial and and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) license
Experience providing Occupational Therapy in a school setting preferred
