Position Summary: Adjunct faculty serve multiple roles in the Fire
Science Department and are expected to serve as teachers, mentors, and
facilitators. Faculty are expected to assist in developing the semester
schedules, monitoring and reporting grades, ensuring class safety and
proper use and storage of department equipment. Adjunct faculty are
responsible for special projects that provide job shadowing
opportunities, simulations, and active learning environment training for
students. Adjunct will be expected to drive department vehicle and
trailer with fire equipment to and from trainings.

Required Qualifications:

– Certifications in the following:

– Hazmat

– Firefighter I

– Firefighter II

– Five years experience as a full time firefighter or a combination of
volunteer and paid experience adding to the same.

Two years experience teaching or training.

Preferred Qualifications:

– Fire Instructor I
– Bachelors degree in related field.
