Our Infrastructure Services – Data Protection team is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a technologically savvy professional to join us as a Data Protection Engineer. In this role, you will primarily focus on operational activities, such as ensuring jobs run smoothly and troubleshooting issues. This position provides an excellent entry point into data protection, encompassing tasks like data backups, restores, ransomware protection, and other related activities. Experience with Commvault and VMware is highly beneficial. You should enjoy working collaboratively within a team while also being capable of working independently in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment.

This position offers the flexibility to work remotely, but candidates should reside in one of the following hub locations to facilitate occasional office visits: the Greater Kansas City, MO area; Southwest Missouri; the Dallas, TX area; or the Louisville, KY area

What youll be responsible for:

Assists in providing operational system engineering support for enterprise applications in a high availability, 24x7x365 environment.

Provide daily support and drive continuous improvement for the Commvault data protection infrastructure.

Assists with IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs in support of one or more functional areas.

Assists in reviewing issues logs and capacity reports to identify trends and present solutions that should be implemented enterprise wide.

Assists with the preparation of systems assessments or certifications.

Assists with the execution of test processes and scenarios, track results, and implement code upgrades for Commvault and Zerto infrastructure.

Maintain in-depth documentation.

Perform other duties as assigned.

What youll need to have:

Must have at least 1 year experience in systems administration in a Windows/Linux environment. This experience must include patching experience.

Must have at least 1 year of data protection and disaster recovery experience.

Candidates must be able to participate in an on-call rotation for one week each month.

Must be able to travel 10% for team meetings, conferences, or trainings.

What would be nice for you to have:

Experience with PowerShell scripting.

Experience with change management.

Experience with project management
