The Nutrition Services Assistant assists the diet clerk with answering
phone calls, late trays, tray line and provides communication with the
diet clerk for new diet orders. The assistant also aids the cooks with
alternative menu items that are specified on the production sheet.

Essential Functions:

– Coordinates patient diet and menu information from the EMR to the
menu software
– Demonstrates interpersonal skills necessary to provide a positive
reflection of the department to our customers
– Functions as a started on patient tray line
– Demonstrates knowledge of specific diets and age-specific food
requirements
