TS/SCI Storage Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is hiring 1 Storage Administrator for our federal client in Omaha, Nebraska. This role will support one other person who currently supports storage administration as well. This role will manage the storage for the enterprise. It will involve working closely with other admins (unix, mid-tier, and VMware) to sort storage requirements. Youll help automate the deployment, maintenance and operation of physical storage (NetApp) and Virtual environment (VMware).

What youll do:

 Operate and maintain the physical NetApp storage

 Deploy and maintain VMware products using vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager

 Integrate various products with VMware Identity Manager with two factor authentication via methods such as SAML.

 Maintain vRealize Operations Manager, Endpoint Operations Agents, and management packs.

 Maintain vRealize LogInsight, LogInsight agents, and content packs.

 Work with various teams and customers to develop and create dashboards and reports in vROps and vRLI.

 Maintain vRealize Automation solution and integrations.

 Work with various teams and customers to develop and create new automation capabilities.

 Strong capability to troubleshoot blueprints and workflows written with PowerShell, JavaScript, and Python. Strong knowledge of SOAP and REST API. Familiar with RHEL, Windows Server, PhotonOS, SUSE, NSX, Infoblox, ARS, RHEL Satellite, MS SCCM, and Cisco ISE.

 Identify and develop efficient processes and procedures.

 Define and create automation capabilities.

 Create and update documentation to include work instructions, standard operating procedures, checklists, etc.

This position can pay up to $50/hr depending on experience.

Skills and Requirements

TS/SCI

 Security Certification (or ability to earn this within 120 days)

 2-5 years experience managing physical storage tools (ideally using Net App but other tools are okay)

 Experience with tool upgrades, high storage availability strategy, and host utilization strategies

 Ability to divy out storage requirements to different hosts

 Experience managing data center resources (compute, storage, virtual network) for a large organization VMware experience

 ITIL® v3 Foundations

 VMware Certifications

 Familiarity with risk management framework and public key infrastructure is a plus. null
