Job Description:
Assists the clinical dietitian with the provision of Medical Nutrition Therapy for assigned patients/clients. This involves evaluation of criteria to indicate current nutritional status, development and implementation of nutritional care plans, education of patient and families regarding diet therapy, and evaluation of patients’ menu selections to assure that nutritional requirements are met within the constraints of the ordered diet.
For OCH Site Only:
1.Process and complete orders including preparation and delivery of all infant formulas according to written guidelines and quality control standards.
2.Maintains a safe and sanitary environment by following departmental infection control guidelines
3.Uses correct technique to measure solids and liquids
4.Calculates new formulations or standardized recipes and obtains verification of those formulations with the Registered Dietitian responsible for that patient.
5.Communicates with patient care areas regarding problems with formula orders, formula storage, or administration.
6.Maintains daily records of patient profiles or updates computerized patient profile regarding infant formula orders including allergy information.
7.Inventories and maintains sufficient formula room stock
8.Maintains a daily log of refrigeration and heating equipment temperatures in the formula room.
9.Assists in training other employees in formula preparation and proper handling techniques as needed.

1.Demonstrates mathematical ability sufficient to interpret orders, measure ingredients, and perform complex mathematical calculations.
2.Demonstrates the ability to work under time constraints in a busy environment while maintaining careful attention to detail.
3.Demonstrates effective communication skills and the ability to relate to a variety of people
Visual Acuity Requirements – WCHOB Formula Lab – Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, or using measurement devices.

Minimum or Preferred Qualifications:
Associate of Applied Science in Dietetic Technology or equivalent granted by accredited college or university is required. 1 year of experience in Dietetic Technician preferred. Registered Dietetic Technician within 1 Year preferred. Registry eligible with registration credential earned within 1 year of hire. Grandfathering applies to registration requirements for employees hired/ transferred into position prior to 1/1/2000.

$25.59-$32.38 per hour Wage will be determined based on factors such as candidates experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
