Job description
Join our Architectural Engineering practice as an Electrical Designer at Michael Baker International. This exciting position offers the chance to work on a variety of projects, collaborating with a dynamic team of architects, engineers, and designers to deliver outstanding solutions.
Works directly under the supervision of a licensed engineer
Two-year technical degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or 2-6 years of experience in electrical or telecommunication systems design
Experience with interior or exterior lighting design (layout and calculations)
Experience with circuiting and panelboard schedules (layout and calculations)
Familiarity with the National Electric Code
Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) [Autodesk Revit 2015-16]/AutoCAD 2015 and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel), or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills:
Engineering software (Visual Lighting Software or Revit equivalent) experience
Effective visual/verbal communication skills are crucial. Candidate should possess a proficient understanding of inter-relationships among design/engineering fields, clients, and constructors.
Experience with data outlet and cable tray layouts power calculations software SKM or Easy Power
Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Knowledge of Autodesk Revit/AutoCAD and Micro-Grid Design experience

Location
This position can be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Rocky Hill, CT or Jacksonville, Florida. The position can have a flexible hybrid schedule.

Compensation
The National salary range for this position is $55,000- $81,000. The actual salary offered will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate, and relative to salary ranges in the offering office.
