JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The laboratory of Professor Tae-Hee Lee in the Chemistry Department at the Pennsylvania State University seeks to fill postdoctoral research positions to work in the area of single-molecule biophysics of the nucleosome, RNA polymerase II, and chromatin remodelers.
The position requires a Ph.D. in an area of physical or biological sciences or equivalent doctorate in an appropriate field. Researchers trained in the field of nucleosome biophysics, chromatin or eukaryotic transcription biochemistry and molecular biology are preferred, but individuals trained in other fields of molecular/structural biology and biochemistry are also welcome to apply.
Interested and qualified applicants should submit applications electronically and include a CV which includes a list of publications. Following a screening of these initial application materials, appropriate candidates will be contacted by email and asked to arrange for letters of recommendation to be sent so that they might be considered further. This is a term position funded for one year from date of hire with possibility of refunding. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until position is filled.
