About the Position: This position is with the Tobyhanna Army Depot Directorate of Installation Service. Responsibilities Coordinate with organizational elements on new construction, alteration, and maintenance projects for various installation facilities. Assist in the preparation of technical and administrative project submittal documentation for higher headquarters in accordance with Army regulations. Develop a wide variety of designs including drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates within architectural and engineering disciplines. Act as the Contracting Officers Representative for construction and service contracts. GS-07 One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Preparing basic drawings and models to meet design intent; 2) Extracting data from a variety of sources; AND 3) Researching solutions to operational problems covered by precedent. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). GS-08 One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Preparing preliminary drawings and models to meet design intent, 2) Assisting in the preparation of documentation related to operational plans or designs; AND 3) Assisting in quality control inspections of completed projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). GS-09 One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Preparing complete technical drawings and models to meet the design intent of architectural, civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering disciplines; 2) Making recommendations based on preliminary data interpretation or analysis; 3) Assisting in the negotiation and preparation of construction or service contract provisions; AND 4) Applying project management principles to work assignments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Contracting/Procurement Design Planning and Evaluating Project Management GS-07 Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
