HR Advisor will be responsible for advising regional businesses on the company’s HR practices, policies, and procedures as well as providing coaching and advice to employees and line managers locally.
HR Advisor is a part of the Johnson Matthey Global Services (JMGS) HR Services Team and will report to the HR Services Team Manager based in Vilnius, Lithuania. HR Advisor will cooperate with JMGS Hub on complex/sensitive HR cases specifically that require in-person support or expert country policy/legislative knowledge. In addition, HR Advisor will work collaboratively with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and JMGS HR hub team to achieve strategic business objectives, including supporting performance management, talent management planning, employee engagement, and employee relations. HR Advisor will be expected to contribute to maintaining consistency of HR service delivery and processes and maintain the integrity of the JMGS operating model.
Your responsibilities:
Resolving complex/sensitive questions escalated by Hub HR advisory team, which could include employee relations support (grievances and disciplinary; speak ups); performance improvement and capabilities; complex compensation and pay issues; reasonable accommodations; complex absence issues; drug and alcohol testing; termination/redundancy.
Partnering with the JMGS Hub to provide knowledge/updates on Country specific policies and legislation.
Partnering with business leaders and HR Centres of Excellence (COE’s) to support the implementation of HR programs, policies, and procedures in support of JM’s HR goals.
Working with HRBPs and managers on specific projects (e.g. organization design/restructuring, workforce planning, talent activities).
Providing feedback to the hub team from local managers and employees to ensure continuous service delivery improvements.
Collecting, analysing, and providing all relevant stakeholders with monthly insights/reports.
Facilitating and delivering New Employee Onboarding sessions and processing I-9 as per local regulations and requirements.
Ensuring compliance with data protection and HR standards, policies and procedures.
Requirements for the role:
2 years of HR consulting experience, including different HR areas. Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Law or related field would be considered an advantage.
Working knowledge of US employment law. Experience working with unions is highly preferable.
Strong investigative skills and ability to manage tasks with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders.
Technology savvy, with experience using ticketing systems and HR platforms (Workday preferable).
Understanding and ability on decision making based on HR data analytics.
Comfortable working in an evolving organization and able to manage ambiguity.
Previous experience in a Global Business Services (GBS) environment is desirable.
