Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for a Manager Program 1 to support the Active RF OU in Linthicum, MD. This program has responsibility for the manufacturing and test of high-volume space payloads.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the management of IWO execution, critical subcontracts, sourcing strategy, supplier issue resolution, and material supply continuous improvement projects on the program to meet schedule, cost, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong execution skill and collaborative people skills with the proven ability to work within a technically dynamic, high-growth, and fast-paced operating unit.
What Youll Get to Do:
Responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of IWO subcontracts on the program.
Interface as the lead with internal customers, vendors, and company support organizations.
Work across organizations, sites, and vendors to implement procurement strategies to enable lower cost and schedule on a fixed price program.
Interface with peer program managers to support the system needs.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and 5 years or a master’s degree with 3 years of experience; a PhD 0 years of experience supporting Government proposals, contracts and/or project management. In lieu of a degree 9 yrs of experience will be considered.
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain Green Badge access/approval
Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements.
Performs complex tasks and participates in determining objectives of assignment.
Plan schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.
The ability to recognize and respond to executive and customer goals to rapidly develop outcomes supporting sector objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret Clearance and SCI approval/access and Green Badge.
Experience as a lead or manager positions.
Experience with the factory execution of a production program.
Experience in a leadership position on government programs over $10M.
Experience with earned value management and capture management.
Experience with geographically diverse program teams.
Salary Range: $120,800 – $181,200
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
