Summary
The purpose for this position is to insure the safe production of high quality broiler feed for distribution to, and use by Perdue contract producers in the grow out phase of broiler production.
Hours:
Generally Monday-Friday 2nd shift 3p.m-11:00pm or as scheduled by management with {2} 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch break. Over time may be scheduled as needed and directed by management. W ee kends if needed by operations and approved by management.
Compensation:
This position has a base rate of $18.40 per hour, with opportunities for pay premiums, shift differentials and overtime where applicable. Annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Operate and monitor the Batching process equipment to include sampling and production scheduling.
2. Operate and monitor the Pelleting and Grinding process equipment to include sampling and minor equipment maintenance.
3. Stock and inventory micro ingredients and finish feed bins
4. Maintain work area to comply with housekeeping and safety programs
5. Maintain associated documentation to avoid errors and for tracking and sequencing purposes
6. Perform any other duties as outlined by management and necessary for operation
Minimum Education
High School or equivalent
Experience Requirements
2 years experience. Reading, writing and math skills required.
Experience Preferred
PANEL OPERATOR
Basic computer skills and a mechanical background preferred.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
1.Occasional exposure to outside environmental temperature conditions.
2. Exposed to temperatures ranging from 60 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit and humidities up to 100%.
3. Exposed to chemicals, drugs and vaccines to be covered in MSDS training and hazardous communications.
4. Use personal protective equipment as required.
5. Ability to lift 4 lbs. to a height of 6 feet, to push 75 lbs. a distance of 75 feet and lift 20 – 25 lbs. to a height of 3 feet.
6. Must be able to work in a wet, damp, dusty (chick down) environment.
7. Significant amount of time spent in a stationary position making visual observations with occasional bending, stooping or climbing.
8. Able to lift 100 lbs.
9. Exposed to ingredient dust and high noise levels.
10. Must wear required personal protective equipment per Company policy.
