Overview

Collection Technology Solutions (Collection Systems) serves as the primary liaison between our business partners and ISD and/or select vendors providing project support including documenting requirements/features, system testing, coordinating UAT, outage resolution, etc. Our primary business partner is the Collections Division; however, we also provide project support for other non-Collections areas including Credit Bureau Governance, Financial Systems Recon, and Transaction Processing. We provide production support for multiple applications (both on prem and hosted) used by our business partners and work with ISD and/or vendor support personnel to investigate and remediate system issues.

Collection Systems is the system owner for the major applications used by the Collections Dept. Applications include the CACS Enterprise which includes Recovery Accounting, SpeedPay, and the Extensions Application. As the System Owner, analysts manage workflows within the application(s). Additionally, Collection System Analysts serve as product owners for Enterprise level projects affecting Collections.

Responsibilities

Analyze information, requirements, data, work quality, work methods, processes, service specific practices, standards and metrics/statistics

Analyze, define, and document technical design for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating systems environment, interface with other systems, internal and external controls and output

Evaluate operational efficiency and effectiveness of supported systems and applications

Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects concurrently from project concept through implementation, either independently or as part of a team

Uses elicitation techniques to gather information at the right level of detail and scope to represent all of the stakeholders needs

Identifying business requirements (e.g., needs, objectives, functions, features, input and output)

Develop, recommend and document adjustments to workflow to streamline processes

Coordinate integration of solutions with existing applications; identify and resolve existing conflicts to ensures compatibility

Involved in cross-organizational task groups concerning new automated systems, products and/or services

Work with project teams to plan, coordinate and rollout software change/release to Controlled Testing and Production, obtain required approvals as scheduled, and transition project to Production

Interact with other ISD staff, business units (end users) in problem resolution efforts

Partner with other business units and vendors to improve procedures, resolve problems, and implement initiatives; presents conclusions and recommendations to management

Implement new/enhanced products, services and/or operational changes

Identify and communicate key responsibilities and practices, evaluate results, and provide leadership and guidance to ensure successful implementation of business unit projects

Interpret results of analysis, present recommendations, alternatives and implications

Develop and oversee project plans and roadmaps that outline preventative and corrective actions necessary to remediate control deficiencies, maximizing effectiveness and mitigating future exposure

Ensure preventative, detective, and corrective controls are properly identified and documented

Develop test plans, test criteria, scenarios and documentation; ensure acceptance of delivered solutions

Conduct and/or facilitate user acceptance testing to include developing and executing test cases, communication with project teams, validating and documenting results

Report testing activity including time spent, testing time lost and discrepancies found

Represent the business unit in identifying, analyzing and communicating system solutions

Monitor performance of systems to ensure continued systems efficiency

Collaborate with key partners in development and delivery of solutions

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Strong analytical skills and experience using SQL (or similar data mining tools) to include creating queries and joins as well as hands-on experience using Excel (or similar analytical tool) to include using formulas and pivot tables/graphs

Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects concurrently from project concept through implementation, either independently or as part of a team

Significant experience in workflow analysis and design/configuration

Demonstrated ability to successfully guide business users and product owners at all levels through requirements gathering while leveraging knowledge of system capabilities

Demonstrated ability to successfully mentor others

Strong desire to learn new systems and processes

Hands-on experience with ADO to include managing epics, features, and PBIs

Exposure to SAFe agile methodology

Experience in troubleshooting and solving routine operational and/or system issues

Basic research, analytical, and problem solving skills

Effective organizational, planning and time management skills

Effective skill following, interpreting and applying relevant data/instructions to guidelines, procedures, practices and regulations

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Desired Qualification

Experience with Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies and procedures

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 4:30PM

Salary: Level III $94,200 – $138,900 annually | Level IV $108,300 – $159,675 annually
