Aegis Operations Technical Trainer

Description: Support a multi-instructor and developer workforce providing curriculum and instruction for our U.S. Aegis, SSDS, and International Program customers.

Support OEM curriculum development and provide training to the sailors operating & maintaining the Aegis Weapon System.

Develop new training materials, revise existing curriculum, and execute development tasks to meet key milestones.

Conduct formal training in shipboard, waterfront, and schoolhouse environments.

Conduct instructor evaluations and submit training reports.

Requires Domestic/International travel approximately 20%

US Citizenship is required. Qualified candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position.

Basic Qualifications:

– Ability to discuss operation and maintenance concepts related to Aegis Combat System and the Aegis Weapons Systems.

– Ability to learn and brief operational and tactical concepts to officers and enlisted service members.

– Proven communication skills with the ability to work independently and as a team contributor.

US Citizenship is required. Qualified candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position.

Desired Skills:

– Operational experience with the Aegis Weapon System with one Aegis shipboard tour and one training/instructional tour.- AWS NEC with SPY or FCS background

– FC, FCA, GWS, OS, STG, or TTWCS backgrounds

– U.S. Navy Instructor with 9502 NEC

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
