Your Role at KIK

Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic – 1st shift , where youll play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting, testing, and monitoring equipment, conducting repairs and replacements, cleaning and lubricating components, and maintaining pipe systems. Youll be a key contributor to line changeovers and diligent in adhering to safety regulations. This position has an hourly range between $35.00-$40.00 DOE in addition to an quarterly incentive bonus.

What You’ll Be Doing

Conducts comprehensive inspections, monitoring, and testing of machinery and equipment

Dismantles malfunctioning machines and equipment, replacing or installing new parts as needed

Performs thorough cleaning and lubrication of shafts, bearings, gears, and various machinery components

Assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, ensuring the repair or replacement of gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related components

Acquires a profound understanding of all machinery utilized in the production process to ensure optimal functionality through proper operating procedures

Adheres strictly to all safety regulations, fostering good housekeeping practices in all relevant work areas

Executes line changeovers for different products, including the setup of the dilution system to precise specifications

Promptly notifies the Production Manager and Plant Manager of any equipment issues, demonstrating an analytical approach to problem-solving and providing assistance to others as necessary

What You’ll Bring

Minimum of 2 years of equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

Highschool diploma or GED required

Electrical experience: specifically, Three-phase/480 voltage required

Experience working on PLC’s and frequency drives is required; Allen Bradley is preferred

Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Proficiency in machinery inspection, repair and assembly

Ability to perform line changeovers and address equipment issues promptly

Commitment to safety and adherence to regulations

Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when required

Comfortable standing for long periods of time, while working in a fast-paced environment

Able to work in an environment with bleach fumes and handle chemicals
