In a self-directed work environment, Valve Operators work with Maintenance Technicians to ensure valve lines run continuously and produce quality parts as required to meet production schedules.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Properly receive, handle and store material. Ensure lines have material, track lot numbers.

2. Quality checks – First piece inspection. Follow work instructions posted. Control and contain scrap. Complete Scrap Sheet.

3. Assist Maintenance Technician with keeping production line running. For example, machine stops (trouble lights), cleaning bowl jams etc. Also assisting Maintenance with PM activities as needed.

4. Keep work area clean and organized. Document cleaning on cleaning log.

5. Apply and adhere to 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles to increase efficiency and effectiveness in assigned work area.

6. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds on a repetitive basis and up to 50 on an occasional basis

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or GED;

Intermediate computer skills (SAP-DP1, E-Pull, and Windows, hand held scanners, etc.);

Proficiently operate fork trucks and hand jacks per work area;

Basic Mechanical aptitude;

Ability to perform work in cooperation with multiple team members;

Multitasking;

Self directed;

Ability to work in fast paced environment

Ability to lift heavy parts on a repetitive basis

Ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English.
