Schedule: Monday – Friday

Shift : 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Location : 2100 Ocoee Apopka Rd. Ste. 120, Apopka, FL 32703

The role you’ll contribute:

Schedule surgeries with Florida Hospital.

Prepare documentation for surgical authorizations.

Obtain authorizations when necessary.

Enter surgeries and hospital consults in the CVS Surgery Scheduling System.

Schedule preadmission testing appointments.

Coordinate with Office Nurses for any orders and other clinical information required for surgeries.

Maintain personal calendars for the surgeons (Meetings, Vacations, On-Call, vendor appointments, etc.)

Communicate daily and weekend On-call information to the Answering Service.

Schedule trips for surgeon attendance at meetings.

Train Surgery Scheduling Staff on the Surgery Scheduling System and processes.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

The Surgery Scheduler Supervisor will oversee and manage the daily operations of the surgery scheduling section to ensure surgeries are scheduled, patients’ questions about surgeries are addressed, surgeons’ calendars are accurate, and timely communication with each surgeon/staff occurs.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

· High School Diploma

· Experience with medical terminology

· 2yrs inpatient surgery scheduling experience in any surgical specialty

· Experience with any practice management system

Preferred experience:

1 year of healthcare leadership experience.

Bilingual Spanish preferred
