Corporate Accounting Analyst (Hybrid)

Job Overview:
As a Corporate Accounting Analyst, you’ll be responsible for managing a variety of accounting tasks, including financial reporting, accounts receivable and reconciliations, billing, insurance allocations, ad-hoc support and will support process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, and related processes, with excellent organizational skills and a high level of accuracy.
Your Responsibilities:
Support the full cycle of accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payments, and collections
Manage email communications related to aging accounts and open invoices. Research discrepancies in invoices or customer accounts
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliation to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for management review. Respond to ad hoc requests from management
Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Conduct variance analysis to compare actual financial results against budgets and forecasts and provide explanations for key variances.
Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to support decision-making and identify trends or anomalies.
Leverage accounting software and ERP systems to track and manage financial data, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
Assist in maintaining the general ledger by reconciling accounts, ensuring accurate coding and matching accounting schedules to postings
Confirm intercompany balances with other markets and research variances
Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Suggest changes/improvements to existing processes and reports. Work on reports and methodologies for new processes
Prepare and provide documentation for internal and external audits as needed
Assist the Finance Team on ad hoc financial analysis requests
Skills & Qualifications:
4-5 years of proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or relevant certification is a plus).
Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel – Pivot tables, Lookups, 2/3-way matching, Etc. & familiarity with ERP systems is required
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
In-depth knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
