Positions in this function deliver high quality file implementations for our Optum Financial products and customers. This function works to create systems that work together in a cohesive manner, enforcing standards and consistent methods across Optum Financial.

They consult with clients, internal users, and technology specialists to define business processes and the information systems for supporting files. Individuals in this role will perform file analysis and serve as business liaisons to understand and refine business requirements.

Positions in this function conduct and manage outcomes of test files, production files as well as day-to-day operations needs to support client files. Tasks include researching, analyzing, reviewing, and communicating information for operational and business planning.

They support short and long term operational/strategic business activities by developing, enhancing and maintaining operational information and models. They also develop and implement effective/strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes.

Roles may support both current system improvements and maintenance along with new system development.

This is a complex, fast-paced, matrixed environment with a lot of moving parts. The challenge is in developing, enhancing, and maintaining operational information and models. You will be expected to interpret and analyze large data sets from multiple sources, using this information to construct a meaningful story and recommend solutions.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

Communication with clients and vendors around data file requirements and processes to set up file transfers

Test data feed file formatting and transactional scenarios and work with partners to correct issues prior to implementing into production environment

Identify root causes of production file processing failures and partner with clients and vendors to correct

Support short- and long-term operational and strategic business activities through recommending business solutions based on research and analysis of data and business processes

Required Qualifications:

1 years of experience as business, technical, or data file analyst

Working knowledge of relational databases and database structures

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)

Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proven excellent organizational and time management skills

Proven ability to improvise solutions in unique situations based on organizational goals and understanding of impact of business processes

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in utilizing SQL to perform functions

Experience supporting activities using project management methodology (gather requirements, design, develop, test, and implement)
