Tech Surgical

JOB SUMMARY

Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure. Monitor PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Reports to Surgery Manager and/or Director of Surgical Services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:

Education/Regulatory Requirements:

High School diploma / GED.

Operating Room Technician Certification preferred.

Able to take call and report to work anytime day or night, including holidays and weekends.

Basic CPR.

Skills:

Moderate to advanced computer and data entry skills.
