JOB SUMMARY
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the assigned setting. Communicates with physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties utilizing the nursing process.
Must be able to effectively manage the care of antepartum patients including use of external fetal monitoring equimpent. Must exhibit patient and family centered care to postpartum patients and be able to recognize and react appropriately to complications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:
Education/Regulatory Requirements:
Current Mississippi Registered Nurse Licensure.
CPR certified.
ACLS certification required within six months of hire (new grads within 12 months of issue date of RN licensure).
Skills:
Moderate to advanced computer and data entry skills.
