JOB SUMMARY

Direct care to patients within a clinical setting using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Functions and performs all technical aspects of nursing care within the framework of established policies and procedures of the Mississippi Board of Nursing and Anderson Regional Medical Center. Responsible for managing patient care of assigned patients and guiding/directing the activities of ancillary staff. Expected to participate in various clinical tasks and responsibilities to help contribute to the overall positive workflow.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:

Education/Regulatory Requirements:

Current unrestricted Mississippi RN license.

Active member of professional nursing organization encouraged.

BCLS certified and trained in CPR

Clinical experience preferred.

TB Certified preferred.

BAT Certified preferred.

DOT drug screen collection certified preferred.

Skills:

Moderate to advanced computer and data entry skills.

Knowledge of correct and safe use of basic office equipment including copier, fax machine and computer.

Strong Interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.

Able to execute independent action and begin working without supervision, displays conscientiousness and motivation.

Evaluates data on hand and comes to sound conclusions; considers factors, places them in perspective, reaches logical conclusions based on available evidence.
