CNC Mill Machinist – 1st Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machinist with experience as a CNC mill machinist. In this role, you will perform your own setups and operate machines to machine large blocks, weldments, and plate work. The machine has 4 axes, including a spindle. Key responsibilities include reading blueprints to machine parts, using digital or standard manual mics, performing quality checks using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and visual inspection, drilling and tapping holes, changing tooling, and basic computer use to track part progress. Experience with 3-D machining and setting up and operating your own machine is essential. Bonus points for experience programming with MasterCAM, as we have all versions.

Work Environment

We operate on a 1st shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with flexible hours and start times. Employees average 40-45 hours per week, with potential for up to 55 hours during peak times. We offer great working conditions, including an air-conditioned shop, excellent benefits, and coffee. Pay ranges from $22 to $32 per hour, depending on skill level.
