Position Summary
The Procurement Supervisor performs a full range of procurement and administration activities associated with purchasing work. Qualifies suppliers, issues requests for proposals, evaluates proposals, maintains procurement files in accordance with established procedures. Oversees and performs the full range of procurement and administration activities associated with purchasing work on a project. Under general supervision, solves complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices. Uses experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Contract negotiations: Negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers for the procurement of goods, services and supplies
Purchase accountability: Takes responsibility for purchases in support of customer-related business processes or for internal use
Manage delivery issues: Discusses defects and delivery problems with suppliers, and is responsible for negotiating refunds
Coordinate goods/supplies scheduling: Coordinates with operations, maintenance, warehouse and engineering to ensure proper scheduling and movement of goods and supplies.
Direct Daily activities: Under general direction, direct the daily activities of a business, technical support, or functional support team
Prioritize Tasks: Establishes priorities for the completion of assigned tasks
Ensure compliance: Relies upon experience, interpersonal skills, and broad knowledge of field to ensure task completion in compliance with policies, procedures, and business strategy
Complex problem solving: Under general direction, solves complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices
Evaluation input: Provide input to Supplier Performance Evaluations.

Qualifications:
Required:
Education: Brief description.
Procedural Knowledge: Knowledge of Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) procedures
Regulatory Understanding: Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and NAICS
Reasoning and interpretation skills: Should possess sound reasoning skills and the ability to interpret policies and government regulations in day-to-day activities
Effective communication: Effective communication and coordination with internal stakeholders as well as Suppliers
Collaborator: Team Player with excellent interpersonal skills
Negotiator: Effective negotiation skills
Microsoft Office Suite experience: Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or Project)
