Primary Job Responsibilities:

The Electrical Engineer will lead or assist with the development of plans for electrical power and distribution systems, rail signals, intelligent transportation system (ITS) improvements, vehicle charging stations, pump stations, network communications, traffic signal design, field data collection, roadway lighting, and report writing. Position is hybrid (remote and in-office). Candidate can work out of the Chicago, St. Louis, or the Milwaukee offices.

As our newest team member, you’ll play an active role in the development of plans, specifications and estimates critical infrastructure projects. We’d provide you professional development working with other Professional Engineers. Joining our team, you’ll have the chance to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects and utilize your electrical design expertise to create innovative solutions.

Four (4) or more years’ professional project experience required.

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

Valid driver’s license & able to travel for site visits

Strong mathematical and analytical skills

Knowledge of and experience using REVIT or AutoCAD design software

Perform other professional services to support project demands of the office.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

Engineer in Training (EIT/FE)

Agi32 Lighting Software Experience

Experience applying National Electrical Code to a wide variety of projects.

Experience designing electrical systems supporting infrastructure projects.

Strong oral and written communications skills

Strong time management and attention to detail

Other Essential Functions:

Candidate must be interested in working towards PE license. Some work related travel will be required. Candidate should be eager to learn, willing to take on new tasks, interact with clients, and grow professionally with Jacobs.
