JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the review and monitoring of customer accounts and transactions for suspicious activity. Assists with training the staff in all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act and the Customer Identification Program.

 

JOB DUTIES:

1. Assist the BSA Officer in enforcing the BSA policy.
2. Review cash and OFAC reports to help identify suspicious activity.
3. Review worklists in BSA/AML software to help identify suspicious activity.
4. Assist with initial and on-going customer risk reviews.
5. Assist with the on-going monitoring of Specialty Banking customers.
6. Assist with implementation and on-going due diligence of partnerships and other Dart Bank initiatives.
7. Ensure required Currency Transaction Reports are reviewed, approved and filed within the required time parameters.
8. Perform and submit CTR corrections on a timely basis and ensure that a file is maintained of all CTRs returned by IRS for incompleteness, along with evidence of the corrections made and submission to the IRS — 5-year retention.
9. Assist in the review and monitoring of Phase II Exemptions for suspicious activity.
10. Assist with the gathering of information for external audits and regulatory examinations. Accurately compile information.
11. Assist BSA Team in the development of procedures for any new product or service to ensure compliance with BSA and CIP.
12. Assist in staff training for BSA/AML.
13. Make immediate inspection, documentation, and necessary reporting of possible irregularities in the affairs of the bank, as soon as they are discovered.
14. Assist in evaluation of BSA/AML software to enhance monitoring processes and create efficiencies. Continually looks for efficiencies that can be gained by utilization of technology.
15. Keep abreast of regulatory BSA/AML changes.
16. Attend seminars and classes when necessary to update knowledge of BSA/AML, Specialty Banking deposit compliance, general banking and for personal development.
17. Complies with all bank regulations including BSA.
18. Other duties as assigned as a member of the BSA team.

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education: College degree or experience equivalent preferred.
