Electrical Engineer Req. # 20987 Job Family DE – Development Engineering Location US-MN-Eden Prairie Overview Waters Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our R&D Organization. In this role, the individual will join our TA Instruments ElectroForce group that supports mechanical testing and fatigue instrument development. Specifically, the individual will be responsible for multiple aspects of Electrical Engineering, including design, prototyping, and testing of new and improved products. The individual will have deep knowledge of electrical design and analysis, both for power and signal electronics, as well as an understanding of embedded firmware. This role involves using domain knowledge to solve difficult real-world problems. The focus of this role is to develop successful electrical subsystems designs to support the companys products. Additional duties will include performing analysis, conducting experiments, and completing feasibility studies to verify performance and functionality. Typical tasks of the position include, but are not limited to The individual will be responsible for many areas of electrical design, including: Power electronics Analog and digital circuit design / analysis Design for test Design for manufacture Embedded firmware Safety / Regulatory experience PCB design & layout The successful candidate will have a combination of knowledge, skills, and experience that would include the following Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering Experience with Altium preferred. Experience with embedded C MATLAB, Python, C/C Experience analyzing and designing power electronics for dynamic electro-mechanical systems. Experience with Solidworks preferred.
