DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Accounting Supervisor to join our team specializing in Finance in Fridley, MN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Create processes and procedures for Accelera project accounting implementation and revenue recognition.
Continue to standardize and improve plant accounting processes for implementation at all PSBU plants.
Continue to work on right environment initiatives, including team building across all PSBU plants.
Policy Implementation: Implementing accounting policies under the guidance of the Accounting Manager will help maintain compliance and standardize procedures.
Process Optimization: Developing and refining processes to accurately capture, track, and report financial data will enhance the organization’s financial reporting.
Financial Analysis: Compiling, reviewing, and analyzing complex financial information will provide valuable insights for decision-making.
Quality Assurance: Reviewing account reconciliations and financial statements will ensure accuracy and reliability in financial reporting.
Risk Management: Identifying control weaknesses and leading remedial actions will strengthen internal controls and mitigate risks.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct Business Process and Internal Control Risk Analysis: Evaluate business processes to identify risks and internal control gaps, develop and implement process improvements, and create risk management plans to address identified risks.
Perform Financial Analysis: Interpret financial data by analyzing trends, variances, opportunities, and risks to provide insights to stakeholders, ensuring the integrity of financial data and driving business improvement.
Leverage Financial Internal Controls: Assess internal controls and develop remediation plans to mitigate financial reporting risks, adapting to changing business needs.
Understand Financial Regulations: Evaluate applicable financial regulations to ensure compliance, and educate stakeholders on key requirements and implications.
Conduct Technical Accounting Assessments: Evaluate and research transactions to ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.
Apply US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP): Record transactions in compliance with US GAAP, assess accounting requirements, and communicate implications to stakeholders with varying levels of financial knowledge.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
Progress toward Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification preferred.
Experience:
Intermediate level of relevant professional work experience in the field of study required, including some supervisory experience.
