Hunter Hamilton is partnering with a global manufacturer in Fridley, MN seeking a reliable Billing Clerk to contribute to the accounting teams accurate reporting of revenue. The Billing Clerk will be responsible for keeping track of accounts receivable, preparing invoices and updating records. This is an onsite role that works an 8am-5pm schedule, Monday-Friday. It will begin as a contract position, with potential to extend or convert to full time in the future for a high performer! Our ideal candidate will have strong math and organizational skills, be comfortable working in multiple computer programs at once, and work with attention to detail and a sense of urgency. Responsibilities Manage account balances to discover outstanding debts or other inconsistencies Collect all information needed to calculate bills receivable (order amounts, discount rates, fees/interest, etc.) Check the data input in the accounting system to ensure accuracy of final bill Issue invoices and bills and sent them to customers through various channels (mail, e-mail etc.) Issue customer account statements periodically or whenever necessary Receive payments through various methods (cash, online payments etc.) and check for credibility Send reminders for payments and contact customers when assigned Update accounting records with new payments, balances, customer information etc. Requirements Proven experience as billing clerk or general accounting experience Adherence to laws and confidentiality guidelines Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel); Working knowledge of ERP.
