POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of a multidiscipline team, the Reliability Operator manages the delivery of production targets through competent operation and maintenance of oil and gas production sites. The Reliability Operator is self-motivated, managed, and engaged in the planning process. They demonstrate to peers and the Operations Lead ownership of the facility equipment and systems. The role assures minimum impact on the facility operations and demonstrates good environmental stewardship in order to assist with the delivery of production targets and maintain compliance with Group Practice as defined in Hess Operational Excellence Expectations. The Reliability Operator also provides key oversight, operation, and troubleshooting using LEAN tools of Pumping units, ESP’s, separation vessels, storage tanks, piping, flares, etc. found on production sites. The job location for this position is Tioga, ND. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs equipment surveillance and first-level response.
Operates equipment and understands process controls & flow (start up, shut down).
Captures work activities (EBS, autonomous maintenance, corrective maintenance, predictive maintenance, etc.) accurately in the system
Responsible for engaging in safe work practices; review a safe work permit and walkthroughs
Accountable for accuracy of production and injection reporting
Responsible for executing continuous SQDCM improvement activities, such as identify opportunities for problem solving and improvements
Maintain regulatory requirements such as BLM, Flaring, VOC emissions
Ensuring compliance of chemical programs – types of chemical treatments and appropriate use base knowledge needed
Clearly communicates and works with contractors to comply with applicable Hess policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
Industrial / oilfield experience preferred
Basic computer skills (Microsoft, SAP)
Mechanical aptitude
Good communication skills
Knowledge of safety requirements and practices
Education, Training & Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
