Management designing and development of New Product Introduction (NPI)
for Child Restraint Systems (CRS) & Home for juvenile products.
Communicating with internal and external customers to provide project
leadership with program management. Managing offshore-onshore
development in the program schedule, Budget, Risks, and issues.
Facilitating product design reviews with quality, industrial
designers, tooling, soft goods, and sales teams. Ensuring product
specifications are met and manufacturing feasibility through technical
analysis including Designing failure Mode and effect analysis (DFMEA).
Driving project team to manage technical specifications, technical data
(3D and 2D), and product definitions. Enhancing team productivity and
effectiveness by enacting positive changes in New Product Development
(NPD) processes. Facilitating and Collaborating Design to Value (DtV)
workshop with crossfunctional teams for product cost savings. Lead
project and Support Activities CAD (Computer aided Design) 3D and 2D
Concepts, Complex 3D Surface and Solid Modelling, 3D and 2D
Modifications, Layouts, Integration, and Packaging. Helping resolve
various concerns about Design and Development. Participating in Design
Review meetings and provide necessary inputs and clarifications to the
suppliers team. Work closely with Design/manufacturing
/quality/toolmakercoordination for data exchange and ensuring
defect-free deliverables as per set timelines. Assisting with Project
planning, Open issues tracking, follow-up, and escalation. Weekly and
monthly reporting, and presentations on project progress to OEM and
Supplier management. Ensure that the CAD dataset to be analyzed is
valid & relevant before performing the Contact, Clash & Clearance
Analysis. The dataset should be reviewed with the relevant Contextual
Design Engineer. Responsible for recording & updating the details of the
Analysis tracker & notifying the Contextual Design Department when the
Supplier Part Analysis is complete. Responsible for providing Cost
Optimization for all Products and New Product Development Activity.
