HRIS Payroll Liason

Position Summary:
The HRIS Payroll Liaison will facilitate and support key processes and accountabilities within the Payroll Department for Reyes Holdings. Duties involve independent judgment and discretion on issues that may be sensitive or confidential in nature. This position will also lead acquisition integrations and project teams.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Work closely with the Human Resources and the Business Units to participate and align people data to established data standards, policy and processes for the collection, aggregation, consolidation, maintenance and distribution of payroll data across the organization
Prepare reports for employee data contained in HRIS in response to requests from users within Payroll and from users in other departments
Develop training and documentation of system use for Payroll users
Research new techniques in the development of systems and maintain knowledge of current trends and strategies in technology fields relating to HRIS
Analyze Payroll processes and make recommendations for improvements via the use of technology; oversee the specifications, development and implementation of new or redesigned systems, reports, and procedures for HRIS system users to ensure efficient business processes
Resolve HRIS system issues, act as “troubleshooter” for Payroll, and work with IT department closely
Play an active role in Payroll related upgrades and training at DCs
Work on any acquisition projects related to Payroll
Support Payroll with any questions or issues that may arise and/or direct them to the correct person
Other projects or duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/IT, Human Resources, Business, or related field and 4 years in HRIS systems support and in any combination of the following areas: report writing, querying, data analysis, HRIS, and training; OR High School Diploma and 7 years in HRIS systems support and in any combination of the following areas: report writing, querying, data analysis, HRIS, and training in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
Good understanding of HR and Payroll processes and terminology
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills with ability to present findings, or translate the data into an understandable document; must be able to write and speak clearly, easily communicating complex ideas.
Demonstrated ability to work well with all levels of the organization
Strong customer orientation, sense of urgency in getting things done, and ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects
Ability to handle confidential material and details in getting things done, and ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects
Highly focused attention to detail; vigilant in data analysis to arrive at correct conclusions
Strong critical thinking with the ability to review numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings
Ability to multi-task and flexible to adapt to the environment
This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Advanced knowledge of HR and Payroll processes and terminology
Proficiency in HRIS systems Kronos and UltiPro
Proficiency in reporting system Cognos
