Job Overview:

As a Maintenance Technican, you’ll be responsible for providing exceptional support to residents of a large community development in the Chicago suburbs.

This opportunity is available at a property in Oak Lawn, Illinois.

Your Responsibilities:

Maintain grounds, including sidewalks, snow removal, gutter cleaning, wood replacement, drywall, collecting trash, etc.
Perform necessary cleaning activities, such as dusting, mopping, trash removal, etc.
Remove snow and ice from front and rear entrances, walks, ramps, and garbage can areas as needed.
Maintain mailroom in neat and clean order.
Complete regular maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, setting up tables and chairs for Board Meetings.
Inspect and troubleshoot various equipment and systems. Report damage, stains, or necessary repairs to the Community Association Manager.
Report to manager regarding issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progress.
Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.

Skills & Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent and 1 years’ previous experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
Ability to engage law enforcement, when necessary, to promote public safety.
Basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools
Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings
Works effectively with coworkers, clients, customers, and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; addresses problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions.
Must possess a high energy attitude and an ability to multi-task/prioritize different projects at any given time.
Superior oral and written communication skills.
