Operations Manager

Job Description

The Operation Manager is responsible for managing a team of supervisors and their direct reports. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of manufacturing plant Both production and maintenance. Duties include delivering on production schedules, meeting or exceeding productivity goals, maintenance and monitoring processes to ensure efficiency and compliance in the manufacturing process. Additionally, the Operation Manager is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment for the employees.

Responsibilities:

 Planning, organizing, directing, and running optimum day-to-day operations.

 Managing production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standards.

 Ensuring production output, product quality, and on-time shipping

 Allocating resources effectively

 Collecting and analyzing data to find areas of waste and overtime.

 Committing to plant safety and quality procedures.

 Maintaining systems and processes that track and optimize productivity OEE

 Keeping up to date with latest production management best practices

 Maintaining lean manufacturing processes.

 Implementing strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives

 Monitoring operations, initiating, and driving corrective actions when needed

 Managing human capital – Overseeing work schedules to ensure coverage.

 Providing a clear sense of direction and focus to team members.

 Facilitating the planning: Developing maintenance procedures, schedules, and policies

 Managing: Supervising maintenance staff and contractors, and ensuring they have the resources to complete their tasks

 Key performance measure: Safety TRIR & DART; CSI Customer Service Index; OEE Overall Equipment Effectiveness; Financial performance to budget.

 Other duties as assigned by management.

This position is targeting a salary range of 125,000 to 150,000

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves:

 Engineering Degree

o Preferably chemical, mechanical, or electrical

 10 years of experience in a manufacturing operational role.

o Strong knowledge of preventive and autonomous maintenance.

 4 years of experience in plastics manufacturing

o Experience troubleshooting plastics manufacturing equipment.

 Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, and PLC troubleshooting abilities.

 Positive, proactive manager who provide excellent direction and is focused on developing his team and holding them accountable.

 Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Pluses:

 Blow Molding experience

 Experience troubleshooting blow molding equipment

 Bilingual communication skill sets English and Spanish are a plus. null
